Xmas back in SA and a new year begins

Drew, Melly and Katharine flew back to SA in mid December for Grandpa Tom's 70th birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY Grandpa!
We got a few days to chill in Adelaide during which Mum, Katie and Dad got their first ever trip to the Magic Cave in Adelaide to see Santa. Mum and Dad were very brave but Katie was a touch frightened - thus the impromptu photo with Mum, Dad & Santa (the only way Katie would stop crying was to be cuddled by Dad in the presence of Scary Santa man - not really the Scrapbooking ideal which Mum imagined - but an adventure nontheless!)
Then it was up to the Barossa Valley for four days, staying in Tanunda & visiting Nana Hunt who we busted out of the nursing home to have a catered Christmas lunch with us at the Vine Inn. A quick dash back to Adelaide late on Christmas afternoon after our farewells to Nana saw us having Christmas dinner with Grandma, Grandpa and Drew's family. Eek, so much turkey and puddings! YUM YUM!
After Christmas was over, the three of us escaped down to Victor Harbor "vic tuh" to relax at the beach. Lazing on couches, flying kites, walking on the beach, some paddling, reading books, making sandcastles, stacking blocks and eating fish and chips. All the good stuff!
Mum & Dad slept thru New Year's at Victor Harbor - only waking momentarily due to loud fireworks & Katie didn't even stir...
Home again now & Drew is back at work already, with Katie due to start childcare and Mum to go back to work next week. A busy few weeks in store as we re-adjust to a 2 adult working family...

Yes, Santa can be a touch scary. I have been lucky enough to get pics of the girls with Santa every year so far!
Hope Katie settles in to her childcare and new routine easily.
