My first tooth

Today, Mum discovered Kate's first tooth has arrived - which explains why Kate has been extra grumpy and vocal the last few days and chewing on her fingers! In case you can't tell from the photo the tooth in question is on the bottom left. Judging from the amount of chewing - the other teeth aren't far behind. But, luckily for us Kate is still sleeping through the night - so it can't be that bad!

In the last few days Kate has also mastered sitting up in a chair without needing much support and rolling over from front to back and back to front... which is great, because we have an appointment with the paediatrician on Tuesday - and it's nice to be able to report that Kate is doing the things the paediatrician will be looking for at 6 months of age... Kate is also doing famously with eating - consuming 3-4 tablespoons of mush a day. The favourites so far are definately fruit - mango and pear seems to be the current flavour of the day!

Dad took Kate for a visit to the opthamologist today and came away with a clean bill of health for Kate's eyesite... No need for the opthamologist to see Kate again until she turns 3 - which is great news!
